Middle School Science Teacher Selected for Prestigious Program

Onondaga Hill Middle School Science teacher Tracy Derrenbacher has been recognized by Governor Kathy Hochul as one of 144 STEM teachers for the New York State Master Teacher Program, a professional network of more than 1,700 public-school teachers with a passion for inspiring the next generation of educational leaders. During her four-year participation in the program, Tracy will be engaged in peer mentoring and intensive content-oriented professional development opportunities throughout the academic year and work closely with pre-service and early career teachers to foster a supportive environment for the next generation of STEM teachers. This is a tremendous honor and recognition for all of Mrs. Derrenbacher’s  hard work and commitment to our students and profession in general.
